On
September 19, 2012, Southern held an Involvement Fair, where you could go
and join clubs and meet new people. I was finishing up some last minute homework
and I gotten to the fair a little late. My roommate and I walked around the
fair for a little where she spotted the Greek clubs. She was very interested in joining a sorority
and so she signed up. I saw a lot of
clubs that I liked hearing about but I didn’t sign up for anything. Before I sign up for a club, I would like to
get used to the campus first and see if I could join a sports team. Softball is on my mind right now so I’m going
to hold off on joining a club for now.
The Best Buddies club caught my attention. They deal with mentally handicapped kids and
they show those kids how to have fun.
Maybe next semester I will sign up.
